Open collaboration (open plan)

With an open collaboration, the seller sets one commission rate for a product, and any eligible creator can add it to their content straight away. In the US, the seller can turn on approval, so only creators it approves take part. TikTok’s US Seller University calls it an open collaboration; some markets and older guides say open plan. It brings many creators to a product, but without approval the seller does not choose who promotes it. A UK guide dated June 2026 describes an optional sample auto-approval for open collaborations.
